چکیده
Abstract Background The Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama (Hemiptera: Liviidae) is an insect pest species responsible for damages of fruit quality and tree health. This a vector bacteria ‘ Candidatus Liberibacter’ spp . putative causal agent greening disease known as Huanglongbing (HLB), considered one the most destructive diseases orchards worldwide. Disease management mainly based on control using pesticides which can affect natural enemies that play important role in control. entomopathogenic fungi (EPF) Beauveria bassiana (2067 2121) Metarhizium anisopliae (2411) were achieved by applying suspension 1 × 10 7 spores against D. nymphs artificially infected seedlings under controlled semi-field conditions. Also, activity these EPFs coccinellid lacewing predators was evaluated. effects main chemicals used plantations selected possible combined use also investigated. Results obtained results showed conditions, percentage mortality produced EPF varied between 82.8 85.9%. Under infection caused M. 2411 strain significantly higher than B. 2067, 78.9 51%, respectively. Non-significant effect observed, suggesting had compatible effects. Conclusion study clearly demonstrated able to kill be explored promissory biocontrol candidate. Simultaneous integrated program could with pesticides.

Living on the Edges: Spatial Niche Occupation of Asian Citrus Psyllid, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama (Hemiptera: Liviidae), in Citrus Groves
The spatial niche occupation of the Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama, 1908, was evaluated to determine its field colonization and food resource exploitation strategies in citrus groves. Mature grapefruit and sweet orange groves were surveyed as part of an area-wide program in 2009-2010 to determine D. citri population densities and between-tree distribution. In both cultivars, si...
متن کاملThe Genetic Structure of an Invasive Pest, the Asian Citrus Psyllid Diaphorina citri (Hemiptera: Liviidae)
The Asian citrus psyllid Diaphorina citri is currently the major threat to the citrus industry as it is the vector of Candidatus Liberibacter, the causal agent of huanglongbing disease (HLB). D. citri is native to Asia and now colonizes the Americas. Although it has been known in some countries for a long time, invasion routes remain undetermined. There are no efficient control methods for the ...
متن کاملMorphological description of the mouthparts of the Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama (Hemiptera: Psyllidae).
Scanning (SEM) and transmission (TEM) electron microscopy were used to elucidate the morphology of the rostrum, as well as the mandibular and maxillary stylets of the psyllid Diaphorina citri, vector of phloem-inhabiting bacteria associated with citrus huanglongbing (HLB) disease. D. citri has a cone-shaped rostrum that extends behind the pair of prothoracic coxae. The stylet bundle comprises a...
متن کاملInsecticidal Suppression of Asian Citrus Psyllid Diaphorina citri (Hemiptera: Liviidae) Vector of Huanglongbing Pathogens
Diaphorina citri vectors pathogens that cause 'huanglongbing' or citrus greening disease which poses a serious threat to citrus production worldwide. Vector suppression is critical to reduce disease spread. Efficacy is a main concern when choosing an insecticide. Insecticidal treatments of 49 products or 44 active ingredients (a.i) labeled or experimental were field tested between 2005-2013 as ...
متن کاملRepellent Activity of Botanical Oils against Asian Citrus Psyllid, Diaphorina citri (Hemiptera: Liviidae)
The Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama, is the insect vector of the pathogen causing huanglongbing. We selected three botanical oils to evaluate behavioral activity against D. citri. In laboratory olfactometer assays, fir oil was repellent to D. citri females, while litsea and citronella oils elicited no response from D. citri females. In choice settling experiments, D. citri settl...
